YCER FAQs

YCER FAQs

How do I register for YCER?
Registration is by balloting. Please click here for more information on the Registration process.

How will I know if I have been successful in my registration?
If you have been balloted into the main list, your registration is confirmed and successful. For the waitlist, we will inform you once there’s a space available.

When will registration close?
Registration for YCER #16 will close when there are no available spaces left. You may refer to our YCER, CSC-YAYA and CSC Facebook page for regular updates.

Must I download and fill up both consent forms that are provided on the website?
No.
If you are below 21 years of age as at 13 June 2019, please download and complete Form B.
If you are 21 years of age and above as at 13 June 2019, please download and complete Form C.

Can I attend YCER if I can’t make it for all days?
YCER is a continuous stay-in programme. Every part of the programme links to and sets up the next. Much like watching a movie- it’s hard to follow the plot if you miss parts of it. To reap the maximum benefits from this camp, please ensure that you are able to attend the full retreat. If you are unable to be present throughout the entire duration of the retreat, we encourage you to sign up for other programmes in CSC.

I am a non-catholic, can I attend YCER?
The YCER programme is designed for baptised Catholics. Given the religious intensity of the retreat programme, it is best to attend AWAKEN after you have gone for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Youth/Adults (RCIY/RCIA) in order to benefit from the retreat. To find out more about RCIY/RCIA, please contact your nearest Catholic parish.

Can I register as a participant if I’ve attended AWAKEN or CER previously?
Registration priority goes to first-time participants of YCER. However, you may wish to attend other retreats hosted by the Catholic Spirituality Centre.

I just turned 17 this year, am I able to participate in the upcoming YCER Retreat?
As YCER has been repositioned to reach out to young adults aged 18-25 years old, you will have to be at least 18 years of age in order to participate in YCER.

Can I transfer my registration to someone else if I can’t make it?
We regret that your registration is non-transferable. If you are unable to make it, the place will be given to the next person on the waitlist.

Any other questions?
Contact us at youngadults.csc@catholic.org.sg and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
